Sorry to bring this back up, but I've tried all of these, and I'm having no luck whatsoever. I'm trying to install 2008 Standard x64 on an older Supermicro server with a AIC-7902 Hostraid Adapter. If I use the original signed Windows 2008 x64 driver, it says it couldn't install the driver and to contact the vendor. When I attempt to install the R2 driver from Adaptec, it then gives me some bogus "Use the Load Drivers Option to Load Signed Drivers blah blah" and states the driver is unsigned. Help!
ibm raid manager download windows 2008
I'm running into the same issue as most people have. I'm trying to install Server 2008 64x on my x346 with AIC-7902 raid and I can't seem to find a suitable driver. All the links above do not seem to work. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have been messing with this way too long. :(
What I ended up doing was purchasing the IBM 7K raid card as opposed to using the built in Adaptec card. The performance was much improved and the card cost me about 100 bucks new in the box from a reseller.Best part - Windows Server 2008 R2 had built in drivers.... no searching the net.
I know this is an old thread but it still may be of use to somebody. I've solved this problem by first installing windows 2003 r2 via IBM's ServerGuide and then did an inplace upgrade to 2008 R2. I've also read somewhere that HP also recommends this method.
1.1 To create a password reset disk, you need to prepare a USB or CD disk, download and install Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner Raid on an accessible computer. (Go to the site: ../../products/windows-password-tuner/, select the Windows Password Tuner Raid edition to buy. There is no trial version for Windows Password Tuner Raid, so you have to purchase one.)
edit: I am extracting drivers from the downloaded driver EXE file and putting them on the thumb drive. I'm certain it's the correct driver- when I boot into webbios for the raid controller it lists itself as "IBM ServeRAID-MR10k SAS/SATA Controller", and the driver shows up in windows as the exact same.
and download v9.63 (for Windows 2012, not 2008) of IBM's ServerGuide software. Burn it to a disc and boot with it. It should contain all the required drivers for your system and it will tell you when to insert the Windows 2012 media as part of the set up.

I have connected one of the tape units to our windows 2008 Server where backup exec 2012 runs. The point is I am trying to add the library hardware to backup exec and the only thing it discovers is the tape unit. 2ff7e9595c
